Error messages

If the unit detects a problem, one of the following messages is shown on the display.

Display message	Cause/solution
Busy	L The called handset*1 or base unit*2 is in use.
	L Other units are in use and the system is busy. Try
or	again later.*1
System is busy.	L The handset you are using is too far from the base
	unit. Move closer and try again.
Please try again	L The handset’s registration may have been cancelled.
later.	Re-register the handset (page 46).
Check tel line	L The supplied telephone line cord has not been
	connected yet or not connected properly. Check the
	connections (page 12).
Don’t use this	L A wrong type of batteries such as Alkaline or
battery.	Manganese was inserted. Use only the rechargeable
	Ni-MH batteries noted on page 5, 13.
Error!!	L The handset’s registration has failed. Move the
	handset and base unit away from all electrical
	appliances and try again.
Insert battery	L The handset was placed on the base unit or charger
	without batteries. Insert the batteries properly (page
	13).
Invalid	L There is no handset registered to the base unit
	matching the handset number you entered.*1
	L The handset is not registered to the base unit. Register
	the handset (page 46).
No link to base.	L The handset has lost communication with the base
Reconnect AC	unit. Move closer to the base unit and try again.
adaptor.	L Unplug the base unit’s AC adaptor to reset the unit.
	Reconnect the adaptor and try again.
	L The handset’s registration may have been cancelled.
	Re-register the handset (page 46).
Phonebook full	L The phonebook memory is full. Erase unnecessary
	entries (page 20).
Store VM access#	L You have not stored the voice mail access number.
	Store the number (page 36).
