Handset status indicators

The handset status indicators on the base unit
show the status of each handset as follows:

The following icons are shown when you press
down on the center of the joystick in standby
mode.

Base unit display items

Display items
Available for: KX-TGP550
Status Meaning
Light off The handset is free.
Light on The handset is in use.
Flashing The handset is paging the base
unit or being paged by it.
Item Meaning
wWithin range of the base unit
_Out of range of the base unit
lThe line is available.
CThe line is in use.
LWhen flashing:
The call is put on hold.
LWhen flashing rapidly:
An incoming call is now being
received.
sSpeaker is on. (page 12)
~Ringer volume is off. (page 13)
yThe line is set to allow other units
to join the call. (page 12, 13)
