Answering a call & Options during a call

To reject a call

If your phone is open, press the [e] key or the [Reject] Soft key.

If your phone is closed, press and hold the [z/x] key during the incoming call.

The caller hears a Voice mail.

To answer a second call

You can answer an incoming call while you have a call in progress, if your network service provider supports this service and you have activated the Call Waiting option. (For further details, see Call Waiting on page 80.)

You will be notified of an incoming call by a ‘call waiting’ tone.

Press the [s] key. The first call is automatically put on hold.

To switch between two calls

Press the [Swap] Soft key.

To end the current call

Press the [s] key. The call on hold is automatically reconnected to you.

To adjust the call volume

To adjust the earpiece volume during a call, do one of the following.

To increase the call volume during a call, press the [z] volume key on the left side of your phone.

To decrease the call volume during a call, press the [x] volume key on the left side of your phone.

In Standby mode with the folder open, adjust the ringtone volume by using the [z/x] keys.

To switch your microphone off (Mute) or on (Speak)

You can temporarily switch your phone’s microphone off so that the person you talk to on your phone cannot hear you.

For example, you may wish to say something to another person in the room but do not want the person calling to hear you.

To switch your phone’s microphone off

Press the [Mute] Soft key, or press [Options] then select [Mute].
