Reserved rNetwork activity

CPU activity sNetwork status

The CPU activity indicator flashes yellow anytime there is processing activity on the NVR5100. It is not lit anytime there is no processing activity.

rNetwork activity tUnit status

The network activity indicator flashes green whenever the unit is sending or receiving data over the network. The indicator is not lit when there is no network activity present or when a link has been terminated.

sNetwork status UNIT STARTUP

Network status (connection and speed) is indicated by one of the following conditions:

Off: The unit is not connected to the network.

Solid Green: The unit is connected to the network using the 1000Base-T standard.

Solid Amber: The unit is connected to the network using the 100Base-T standard.

Solid Red: The unit is connected to the network using the 10Base-T standard.

NOTE: For proper operation, you must use the 1000Base-T standard.

tUnit status Manual background

Unit status is indicated by one of the following three colors:

Green: The unit is functioning normally.

Amber: The unit is in configuration mode.

Red: The unit is in an error condition (refer to Appendix E: Troubleshooting on page 37).

UNIT STARTUP

To start the unit:

1.Unlock and open the front bezel.

2.Press the power button. The power indicator glows.

3.Close and lock the front bezel.
