CONNECTING TO THE NETWORK
The NVR5100 Series recorder supports remote administration from an Endura workstation. The NVR5100 is compatible with the entire family of
The NVR5100 offers the following two network connectors on the rear panel:
•Primary network connector
Use this Gigabit Ethernet adapter port to connect the NVR5100 to the Endura network. This is required for Endura operation.
•Secondary network connector
Use this Gigabit Ethernet port to expand the storage capacity of the NVR5100 with one or more SEB5100 storage expansion boxes (refer to Appendix A: Expanding Video Storage on page 31).
NOTE: For best results, you should only implement an Endura system on a
To connect the NVR5100 to the Endura network using a switched Gigabit Ethernet network:
1.Connect one end of the unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable to the primary network connector on the NVR5100 rear panel. Use standard Cat5e or better UTP cable with
NOTE: Do not connect the UTP cable to the secondary network connector .
