The following circuit connections on the S-EIDC-U must occur in a “protected area” to meet UL requirements. A protected area is defined as being within the locked area of the access facility.

Input “C” is DC common or ground.

Relay Outputs “NC,” “C,” and “NO” must be connected to a lock within the same room to meet UL requirements.

Output “C” is common between the “NC” and “NO” contact on the relay. For example, if the relay is energized “NO” is connected to “C” and “NC” is not.
