This camera uses a commercially available SD Memory Card, SDHC Memory Card, or SDXC Memory Card.

Make sure the camera is turned off before inserting or removing the SD Memory Card.

• Do not remove the SD Memory Card while the card access lamp is lit.

•Do not open the card cover while the camera is in use.

•Use this camera to format (initialize) an SD Memory Card that is unused or has been used on other devices. Refer to “Formatting an SD Memory Card” (p.219) for details on formatting.

•Use a high-speed memory card when recording movies. If the writing speed cannot keep up with the recording speed, writing may stop during recording.

lift it to open (1→2). 1

3 Insert the card all the way with the SD Memory Card label facing toward the monitor.
