Using the Zoom

You can use the zoom to change the captured area.

Zoom/w/x button

Four-way controller 4 button

	Press the Zoom/w/xbutton in A	38
	mode.

x(Right) enlarges the subject.

w (Left) widens the area that is captured by the camera.

When you press and hold the x button, the						17.1 x
camera automatically switches from optical
zoom to intelligent zoom.					Zoom ratio
			Zoom bar
Once the button is released and pressed
again, the camera switches to Digital Zoom.
The zoom bar is displayed as follow.
	Zoom in with high	Zoom in with some degree
