Setting the Exposure (EV Compensation)

You can adjust the overall brightness of the picture.

Use this function to take pictures that are intentionally overexposed or underexposed.

	Press the 3 button in A mode.
2	The [A Rec.Mode] menu appears.
	Use the four-way controller (23) to select [EV
3	Compensation].
	Use the four-way controller (45)	Rec.Mode	1/2
	to select the EV value.	Pixel Track SR	Auto
	To brighten, select a positive (+) value. To	Recorded Pixels	10M
		Focusing Area
	darken, select a negative (–) value.	Sensitivity	Auto
	You can choose the EV setting in the range	EV Compensation	0.0
		Movie
	of –2.0 EV to +2.0 EV in 1/3 EV steps.
		MENU Exit

	Press the 3 button.
	The camera returns to capture status.

The EV compensation function cannot be used in 9 (Green) or b (Auto Picture) mode.
