DVD Operation

Basic Playback

Before begin, turn on the power of the TV, audio receiver and any other equipment con- nected to the DVD/VCR.

Make sure the TV and audio received (option- al) are set to the correct channel.

1Press the STANDBY-ON button on the front panel.

a “P-ON” will appear briefly on the display panel.

2Press the SOURCE button, then the DVD but- ton to select DVD mode.

3Press the OPEN/CLOSE A button on the front panel to open disc loading tray.

4Place the chosen disc in the tray, with the label facing up.

5Press the PLAY B button.

a Playback starts automatically.

6Press the STOP C button to stop playback.

Note:

DVDs may have a region code.Your play- er will not play discs that have a region code different from the region code of your player.

General Features

DVDs may contain menus to navigate the disc. and access special features. Press the appropriate numerical key or use the L, K, B,

{keys to highlight your selection in the DVD menu and press the OK button to confirm.

Note:

Unless stated, all operations described are based on remote control use. Some operations can be carried out using the menu bar on the TV screen.

Disc menus DVD

1Press the DVD button, then MENU button. a The DVD’s main menu will appear.

2 If a menu is no available,

3If disc menu is available on the disc, audio lan- guage, subtitle options, chapters for the title and other options will appear for selection.

4Press the KL{ B buttons to select an item, and the OK button to confirm selection.

Title Menu DVD

1Press the DVD button, then the TITLE button. a The title menu will appear.

2 If a title menu is no available,

3Press the KL{ B button to select an item, and the OK button to confirm selection. a Playback will begin at the selected Title.

Pause DVD CD

1During playback, press the DVD button, then the PAUSE k button.

a Playback will pause and sound will muted.

2To continue playback, press the PLAY B but- ton.
