10.2 Play your iPod music
You can enjoy the music library on your iPod player through the speaker system of the WACS7500.
This feature requires a Dock.The designated Philips Docking Cradle, Model DC1050 is sold
separately.
1Check that or is switched on or in standby mode.
2Connect your Dock to or :
aConnect the 9-pin docking cable to the DOCK IN of or .
bConnect the audio cable to the AUX IN* on or (red & white plugs must match
color coding of AUX IN).
3Insert your iPod into the Dock.
4Press HOME to enter the main menu and use the navigation controls 3or 4and 2to select
Portable 2iPod.
5The iPod can now be controlled via the remote control of the or .
Tip
All features except for the volume can still be controlled on the iPod itself too.
10.3 Play external sources
You can play files from external sources on or by connecting the audio output (e.g.TV,
VCR, Laser Disc player, DVD player).You can also record up to 3 hours of audio output to the
music library in the HD of .
1Check that the external device is properly connected (see 3.4.4 Installation: Connect
additional appliances).
2Ensure that or is switched on or in standby mode (see 5 Basic functions).
On or :
3Press HOME once or more times to select AUX .
On external source:
4Turn down the volume to avoid noise distortion.
Press 2; to start playback.
5To adjust sound and volume, use the sound controls on WACS7500 or on your external
source.
