Connecting optional Bluetooth® adapter

Connect the Bluetooth® adapter (Pioneer Model No. AS-BT200) to ADAPTER PORT terminal on the rear panel.

Important

Do not move the unit with the Bluetooth ADAPTER connected. Doing so could cause damage or faulty contact.

Using a USB cable to connect to a computer

N-50 only:

By using a USB cable (sold separately) to connect this unit’s DIGITAL IN USB port to the USB port on a computer, this unit can be used as a D/A converter.

For details regarding the output of signals input to the

DIGITAL IN USB port, see section Playing music from a

computer on page 18.

Important

When using this connection to input audio files from a computer to this unit, it may be necessary to install a special driver on the computer. For details, see the website of Pioneer.

Note

This unit cannot be used to play audio files from a computer unless Media Player is installed on the connected computer.

Connecting to the network through the LAN interface

By connecting this unit to the network via the LAN interface, you can play back audio files stored on components on the network, including your PC, and listen to Internet radio stations.

Connect the LAN terminal on this unit to the LAN terminal on your router (with or without the built-in DHCP server function) with a straight LAN cable (CAT 5 or higher).

Turn on the DHCP server function of your router. If your router does not have a built-in DHCP server function, you have to set up the network manually. For details, see page 19.

Note

In order to connect to the Internet, you must conclude a contract with an Internet Service Provider (ISP).

To listen to Internet radio stations, you must sign a contract with an ISP (Internet Service Provider) beforehand.

Photo or video files cannot be played back.

With Windows Media Player 11or 12, you can even play back copyrighted audio files on this unit.
