Exercise Settings

SelectExercise > SETTINGS
HRALARM: Adjust the target zone alarm sound
volume.
HRLIMITS: You can choose to exercise from four
differentheart rate limits:
1. OWNZONE:The wrist unit determines your
individualtarget heart rate zone automatically
inthe beginning of every exercise. Select HARD,
MODERATE,LIGHT or BASIC intensity for your
OwnZone.
2. AUTOMATIC:Limits are determined using an
age-basedformula (220 minus age). Choose
HARD,MODERATE, LIGHT or BASIC. Make sure you
haveentered the correct date of birth in User
Settings!
3. MANUAL:Set your target heart rate limits
manually.
4. Forexercise without any given limits, select
OFF.
HRVIEW: Select HR to display your heart rate in
beatsper minute (bpm) or HR% to view a
percentageof maximum heart rate.
Chooseyour OwnZone or Automatic heart rate
limitsfrom four exercise intensities:
HARD(80-90% HRmax) is for a relatively short
exerciseat high intensity.
MODERATE(70-80% HRmax) is effective
particularlyfor improving aerobic fitness. It is
recommendedfor people exercising regularly.
LIGHT(60-70% HRmax) is good for improving
healthand fitness. It also improves basic
enduranceand helps you to recover from
heavierexercise.
BASIC(65-85% HRmax) is suitable for aerobic
intensityexercise.
