Batteries
TheRCX3 training computer and the Polar
H2/H3heart rate sensor both have a user
changeablebattery.
Whenchanging the heart rate sensor battery,
makesure the sealing ring is not damaged, in
whichcase you should replace it with a new
one.You can purchase the sealing ring/battery
kitsat well-equipped Polar retailers and
authorizedPolar Services. In the USA and
Canada,the additional sealing rings are
availableat authorized Polar Service Centers. In
theUSA the sealing ring/battery kits are also
availableat www.shoppolar.com.
Whenhandling a new, fully charged battery,
avoidclasp-like contact, i.e. simultaneous from
bothsides, with metal or electrically conducting
tools, like tweezers. This may short-circuit the
batterycausing it to discharge more rapidly.
Typically, short circuiting does not damage the
battery, but it may decrease the capacity and
lifetimeof the battery.
Keepthe batteries away from children. If
swallowed,contact a doctor immediately.
Batteriesshould be properly disposed of
accordingto local regulations.
Powersave mode: To maximize the battery
lifetimeof the RCX3 training computer, there is
apower save mode, which can be activated
fromWebSync software. For more information,
onthe power save mode settings, see WebSync
Help.
Thepower save mode will not be enabled during
