Getting Started with your SpectraLink 8020/8030 Wireless Telephone

Overview

The SpectraLink 8020/8030 Wireless Telephone is a mobile handset that uses a call server (sometimes referred to as the PBX) and the Local Area Network (LAN) to connect to other telephones at your workplace and on the public telephone system. The handset gives you the freedom to roam throughout the workplace while providing all the features and functionality of a SIP desk phone.

The handsets will only work when they are within range of the wireless access points at your facility; they are not cellular or satellite phones.

Install and charge the Battery Pack before using the SpectraLink 8020/8030 Wireless Telephone. See the Battery Packs section below and Chapter 5 Charger Options.
