4.Firmly grip the Trimmer handle with your left hand, (See figure 8)
5.Firmly grip the Recoil Starter Handle with your right hand.
(See Figure 8)
6.Pull the recoil starter slowly, until you feel tension in the starter rope. Then quickly pull the recoil starter handle to completely unwind the starter rope. DO NOT allow the starter rope to snap back. Let the starter rope slowly re wind as you hold the recoil starter handle.
7.If engine fails to start after three pulls, push the primer button two times and again pull the recoil starter handle.
8.If engine fails to start after 5 or 6 more tries, see the instruction in the “Troubleshooting Chart”.
WARNING
Keep hands, feet, hair, and loose clothing away from any moving parts. Avoid touching muffler and surrounding areas
–temperatures can exceed 150 degrees. Keep all safety devices and shields in place.
WARNING
Never leave the Trimmer unattended while the engine is run- ning.
C How to Stop the Engine
Move the throttle lever completely back to the STOP posi- tion. (See Figure 6)
D How to Engage the Trimmer Head
1.Start the engine. Refer to “How to Start the Engine”
Section.
2.Press and hold the start lever against the handle. (See Figure 9)
3.Press the trimmer head drive lever forward, until it locks into position. (See Figure 9)
E How to Disengage the Trimmer Head
Release the start lever (See Figure 9). This will release the trimmer head drive lever and disengage the trimmer head.
WARNING
Trimmer line will continue to rotate for several seconds after releasing the start lever. Use Caution.
