14.0Troubleshooting the PM2020 Lathe

Trouble

Motor fails to develop full power.

Motor or spindle stalls or will not start.

Excessive vibration.

Lathe runs at one speed only.

Tools tend to grab or dig in.

Headstock moves when applying pressure with Tailstock.

Tailstock moves when applying pressure.

Probable Cause

Power line overloaded.

Correct overload condition.
