1Select TUNER by press the AUDIO button (or press the TUNER button of the remote control unit).

Make sure the antennas have been connected (see page 4).

2Select AM or FM by pressing the BAND button (or press the TUNER button of the remote control unit).

If the BAND button is pressed while the source other than TUNER was selected, the source will be switched to TUNER automatically.

3Press the TUNING MODE button to select the tuning mode. Each time the TUNING MODE button is pressed, the tuning mode changes as follows:

Automatic tuning mode

(“AUTO” indicator lights on the display.)

Manual tuning mode

(no indicator)

Preset tuning mode

(“PRESET” indicator lights.)

Select the Manual tuning mode or the Automatic tuning mode.

• When using the remote control unit, you can skip this step.

4Press the TUNING/PRESET button to tune in a station.

In the Automatic tuning mode, the unit starts searching for a station. When a station is tuned in, the tuning process will stop automatically.

If you want to stop the tuning process, press the TUNING MODE button.

In the Manual tuning mode, hold down the TUNING/PRESET button and release it when the station is tuned in.

When the TUNING/PRESET button is pressed momentarily, the frequency changes by a fixed step (FM: 50 kHz steps, AM: 9 kHz steps).
