(Configure IP Settings)

To set the adapter to get its IP address, subnet mask, and gateway from the

DHCP server, issue the -ipdhcp command as follows:

-ipdhcp <hba_port_inst> [-option]

If the adapter port had prior values set manually, the DHCP values replace them.

Where [option] includes:

<hba_port_inst> =The specific adapter to which the data is written
<hba_port_inst_

=The file with the adapter configuration you want.
A=Configure all imported parameters (F, N, I, T, C, B).
F=Configure the firmware.
N=Configure the network parameters.
I=Configure the iSCSI name.
T=Configure the targets.
C=Configure the CHAP table.
B=Configure the boot parameters (only valid when the
T [targets] parameter is also specified).
file_name =The XML file with the adapter configuration. See “-save (Save
Host Configuration)” on page 6-23).
-DISN4 =Disable IPv4 network
-IPV4DHCP =Set DHCP ON
-IP =Set IP Address
-IPNM =Set IP Netmask
-IPGW =Set IP Gateway
-DISN6 =Disable IPv6 network setup
