Uninstalling the StorNext Client Software

6Type 2 and press <Enter>.

7After the uninstall process is complete, type 4 and press <Enter> to exit the installation script.

To uninstall the StorNext client software, unmount all file systems and stop StorNext software. Then remove the client software package using the appropriate command for your operating system.

Note: This procedure removes the client software only. To uninstall StorNext File System and Storage Manager, see Uninstalling SNSM and SNFS on page 111.

1Unmount all file systems. To unmount a file system, at the command prompt, type:

umount <mount point>

where <mount point> is the location where the file system is mounted.

2Stop the StorNext client software. At the command prompt, type:

/etc/init.d/cvfs fullstop

3Remove the StorNext software package using the correct commands for your operating system.

• Linux:

rpm -e<package name>

where <package name> is the name of the client software package that was installed.

• Solaris:
