Making and Receiving Calls
USING FLASH
Flash performs the electronic equivalent of a
switchhook operation for special services, such as
Call Waiting.
1. If you have Call Waiting, press TALK/FLASH to
answer an incoming call without disconnecting
the current call.
2. Press TALK/FLASH again to return to the first
call.
If you do not have any special phone services,
pressing TALK/FLASH while the call is in progress
might disconnect the current call.
USING TONE SERVICES ON A PULSE
LINE
Some special services require tone signals (such as
bank-by-phone). If you have pulse dialing, you can
still use these special tone services.
1. Dial the service’s main number.
2. When the service answers, press / TONE. The
phone automatically inserts a two-second
pause, so any additional numbers you dial are
sent as tone signals.
The phone’s dial mode resets to pulse when you
make or receive another call.
PAGING
1. To send a page from the base to the handset or
to locate the handset when the phone is not in
use, press PAGE/TRSF on the base. The
handset beeps for about one minute.
2. To stop the page, press any key on the
handset, or press PAGE/TRSF on the base
again.
If you receive an incoming call, Page is cancelled.
