1Asegúrese de que la alimentación esté encendida.

En el visor aparecerá el nombre del producto durante un breve lapso de tiempo y luego la pantalla de espera (Rampa). También se encienden el teclado y la luz de fondo del visor.

2Acuéstese y acomode el tubo de aire de forma que pueda moverse libremente si se da la vuelta mientras duerme.

PRECAUCIÓN

! • No deje largos tramos de tubo de aire encima de la cabecera de su cama. Se podrían enrollar alrededor de su cabeza o cuello mientras duerme.

• Asegúrese de que el área alrededor del generador de aire esté limpia y seca. Tampoco debería haber ropa, ropa de cama ni ningún otro tipo de obstrucciones potenciales.

3Si es necesario, modifique el tiempo de rampa (consulte “Cómo cambiar el Tiempo de rampa” en la página 95).

4Para comenzar el tratamiento oprima la tecla Inicio/Detención.

5Colóquese la mascarilla siguiendo las instrucciones para el usuario de dicha mascarilla.

ADVERTENCIA

! No se coloque una mascarilla a menos que el equipo S8 Escape esté encendido y funcionando correctamente.

6Al iniciarse el tiempo de rampa, en el visor aparecerá la leyenda “EN RAMPA”, y la presión actual estará indicada en forma de guiones. Cada guión representa

aproximadamente 2 cmH2O. Por ejemplo, 6 guiones equivalen aproximadamente a 12 cmH2O de presión.

Para detener el tratamiento en cualquier momento, quítese la mascarilla y pulse la tecla Inicio/Detención.
