•Dobro posuđe možete prepoznati po dnu. Dno treba da bude debelo i ravno što je više moguće.

•Pri kupovini obratite pažnju na prečnik dna. Proizvođači često daju samo podatak o prečniku gornjeg ruba posude.

•Šerpe sa aluminijumskim ili bakarnim dnom ostavljaju oštećuju keramičko staklenu površinu. Ova oštećenja je veoma teško ili nemoguće ukloniti.

•Nemojte koristiti šerpe od livenog gvožđa ili šerpe oštećenog dna sa oštrim ivicama ili neravninama. Možete izgrebati površinu pri njihovom pomeranju po površini.

•Kada je na nižoj temperaturi, dno je uglavnom blago udubljeno (konkavno). Ne bi trebalo da bude ispupčeno (konveksno).
