Recording a video

Record videos of up to 2 hours in length. The recorded video is saved as an MPEG-4.AVI file.

The zoom sound may be recorded if you use the zoom while recording a video.

1 In Shooting mode, select a ￿ v.

2 Select f ￿ ￿￿a frame rate (the number of frames per second).

￿￿You can change the frame rate only for 640 x 480 or 320 x 240 resolution. (p. 41)

￿￿As the number of frames increases, action appears more natural, but the file size is increased.

3 Select f ￿ > ￿￿￿￿a sound option.

Option Description

Off: Record a video without sound.

On: Record a video with sound.

4 Select f ￿

￿ a stabiliser option.

Off: Record a video with the image stabilisation function turned off.

On: Record a video with the image stabilisation function turned on to prevent your video from blurring.

5 Set other options as desired. (For options, refer to “Shooting options.”)

6 Press [Shutter] to start recording.

7 Press [Shutter] again to stop recording.
