Maintaining water and dust resistance
The device may be damaged if water or dust enters the device. Follow these tips carefully to prevent damage to
the device and to maintain the water- and dust-resistant performance of the device.
Do not immerse the device in wat er deeper than 1 m and keep it subme rged for more than 30 minutes .
Do not expose the device to water m oving with force, such as wat er running from a tap, ocean wave s,
or waterfalls.
If the device or your hands are we t, dry them thoroughl y before handling the devic e.
If the device is exposed to fre sh water, dry it thoroughly wi th a clean, soft cloth. If t he device is
exposed to any liquid other th an freshwater, rinse the device w ith fresh water immediate ly and dry it
thoroughly with a clean, s oft cloth.
If the device is dropped or rec eives an impact, the water a nd dust resistant feature s of the device may
be damaged.
If the device has been immer sed in water or the microphone o r the speaker is wet, sound may no t be
heard clearly during a call . Ensure that the microphon e or the speaker is clean and dr y by wiping it
with a dry cloth.
The touch screen and other fea tures may not work properly if t he device is used in water or in oth er
liquids.
Your device has been tested in a cont rolled environment and sho wn to be water and dust resista nt in
certain circumstances (meets requirements of classification IP67 as described by the international
standard IEC 60529 - Degrees of P rotection provided by Encl osures [IP Code]; test condit ions: 15 - 35
°C, 86 - 106 kPa, 1 meter, for 30 minutes). Despi te this classificatio n, your device is not imperv ious to
water damage in any situation .
