Resolution
You can select the resolution to be recorded on a memory card.
PRECHECK!
Select Video () or Photo () mode by pressing the MODE button. page 33
1.Touch the Menu () tab “Resolution.”
2.Touch a desired submenu item.
3.To exit the menu, touch the Exit () or Return () tab.

•[HD]1080/50i (SF) ( ): Records in the HD 1920x1080/50i, Super Fine format.
•[HD]1080/50i (N) ( ): Records in the HD 1920x1080/50i, Fine format.
•[HD]1080/25p ( ): Records in the HD (1920x1080 25p) format.
•[HD]720/50p ( ): Records in the HD (1280x720 50p) format.
•[SD]576/50p ( ): Records in the SD ( 720x576 50p) format.
•[SD]Web & Mobile (): Videos recorded in the VGA (640x576 25p) resolution at normal image quality. This setting may make a video easily to upload to a web site without

•“50i” indicates the camcorder will record in interlaced scan mode at 50 fields per second.
•“25p” indicates the camcorder will record in progressive scan mode at 25 frames per second.
•“50p” indicates the camcorder will record in progressive scan mode at 50 frames per second.
•Recorded files are encoded with Variable Bit Rate (VBR). VBR is an encoding system that automatically adjusts the bit rate according to the recording image.
•The available video recording time differs according to the selected video resolution.
