3.Carefully insert the SIM card into the slot (shown below).

4.Reinstall the battery.

Insert the battery into the opening on the back of the device, making sure the connectors align. Gently press down to secure the battery.

Position the battery cover and firmly slide it in until you hear a click.

5.Press to turn the device on.

Your device will turn on, search for

service, and then enter standby mode.

If your device is not yet activated, or if

the SIM card is blocked, contact your service provider to activate your device.

If your device does not detect a SIM card while in GSM mode, it will display X in the upper-right corner of the Home screen.

Note: Your device’s battery should have enough charge to turn on, find a signal, set up your voicemail, and make a call. You should fully charge your battery as soon as possible. See "Charging the Battery" on page 15.
