Connecting to a Wireless Network
To connect your TV to your network wireless, you need a wireless router or modem and a Samsung Wireless LAN adapter
(WIS09ABGN, WIS09ABGN2, WIS10ABGN-sold separately), which you connect to your TV’s back or side panel USB port.
See the illustration below.
Samsung’s Wireless LAN adapter is sold separately and is offered by selected retailers, Ecommerce sites and Samsungparts.
com. Samsung’s Wireless LAN adapter supports the IEEE 802.11a/b/g and n communication protocols. Samsung
recommends using IEEE 802.11n. When you play video over a IEEE 802.11b/g connection, the video may not play smoothly.

To use a wireless network, your TV must be c onnected to a wireless IP sharer (ei ther a router or a modem). If the
wireless IP sharer supports D HCP, your TV can use a DHCP or static IP address to co nnect to the wireless network .

Select a channel for the wireles s IP sharer that is not currently be ing used. If the channel set for the w ireless IP sharer
is currently being used by another de vice nearby, this will result in inter ference and communicatio n failure.

If you apply a security system other tha n the systems listed below, it will not work wit h the TV.

If Pure High-throughput (Greenfie ld) 802.11n mode is selected and the Encryption type is set to WEP, TKIP or
TKIP AES (WPS2Mixed) for your wireles s router, Samsung TVs will not suppor t a connection in complianc e with
new Wi-Fi certification spe cifications.

If your wireless router supports W PS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), you can conne ct to the network via PBC (Push Butto n
Configuration) or PIN (Personal Ide ntification Number). WPS will au tomatically configure the SSI D and WPA key in
either mode.

If your router, modem, or device is not certifi ed, it may not connect to the TV via th e “Samsung Wireless LA N
adapter.”

The TV may not recognize the Samsun g Wireless LAN adapter if you c onnect it to the TV with a USB hub or U SB
extension cable other than the cab le supplied with the TV.
