¦Listening through a receiver
You can listen to sound through a receiver (i.e Home Theatre) instead of the TV Speaker.
1. Select receiver and set to On.
2. Press the EXIT button to exit.
If your receiver supports audio o nly, it may not appear in the device list.
The receiver will work when you have pr operly connected the optica l in jack of the receiver to the DIGITaL auDIO
OuT (OPTICaL) jack of the TV.
When the receiver (i.e Home Theatre) is set to O n, you can hear sound output from the T V’s Optical jack. When the
TV is displaying a DTV (aerial) s ignal, the TV will send out 5.1 channel sou nd to the receiver. When the source is a
digital component such as a DVD and i s connected to the TV via HDMI, onl y 2 channel sound will be hea rd from
the receiver.
using the arC function
You can listen to sound through a receiver connected using an HDMI cable without the need for a separate optical cable.
1. Select receiver and set to On.
2. Press the EXIT button to exit.
To use the ARC function, a receiver which supp orts the HDMI-CEC and ARC featu res must be connected to the HDMI
IN 2 (arC) port.
To disable the ARC function, set the receiver to O ff. Even if the TV transmits the ARC signa l continuously, the receiver
will be blocked from receiving the s ignal.
