11. Messaging

New Messages

When you receive new messages or Web Alerts, your phone will alert you. Press View (left softkey) to display the message details.

Press Call (left softkey) to dial the phone number. (Appears when a phone number is highlighted.)

Press Reply (left softkey) to reply the message. (Appears when a phone number or email address is highlighted.)

Press Go (left softkey) to go to the website. (Appears when a URL is highlighted.)

Press Forward (left softkey) to forward the message. (Appears only if there are no phone numbers and URLs in the message.)

Press Options (right softkey) to display options. (See page 114 for details.)

Message Storage

Your phone can store up to 200 received Messages, 180 sent Messages, and 20 Web Alerts. When the message memory is full, the oldest unlocked message will be deleted automatically (see page 115 for locking the message).

Displaying Messages

To display a Message from the message notification alert, see “New Messages” on the previous page.

To display a Message from the main menu:

1.Press to access the main menu.

2.Highlight Messaging and press .

3.Highlight Text Msg and press . (The folder list appears.)

4.Highlight Inbox, Sent, Outbox, Drafts, or your defined folder and press . (The message list appears.)

5.Highlight the header of the message you want to see and press . (The message detail appears.)

To displayWebAlerts:

1.Press to access the main menu.

2.Highlight Messaging and press .

3.Highlight Web Alerts and press . (The Web Alerts list appears.)

4.Highlight the header of the message you want to see and press . (The Web Alerts detail appears.)

To read other messages:

Press the navigation key right to read the next message.

Press the navigation key left to read the previous message.

Note: Web Alerts are URLs. When you buy a ringer or image through your computer for your phone, your phone will receive Web Alerts. Press Go (left softkey) to go to the website.
