22 Section 2A: Your Phone – The Basics

Installing the Battery

To install the Li-Ion battery:

1. Insertthe battery into the opening on the back of the

phone and gently press down.

2. Place the battery cover into the position as indicated in

the diagram, and then slide ituntil you hear itsnap

into place.

Removing the Battery

WARNING: Do nothandle a damaged or leaking Li-Ion battery as you can

be burned.

To remove your battery:

1. Make sure the power is off so thatyou don’tlose any

stored numbers or messages. Press the battery release

latch, and then slide the battery cover and remove it.

2. Use your thumbnail to liftand then remove the battery

as indicated in the diagram.
