TTY Use With SprintPCS Service
A TTY (also known as a TDD or TextTelephone) is a
telecommunications device thatallows people who are deaf,
hard-of-hearing, or who have speech or language disabilities,
to communicate by telephone.
Your phone is compatible with selectTTY devices. Please check
with the manufacturer of your TTY device to ensure thatit
supports digital wireless transmission. Your phone and TTY
device will connectvia a special cable thatplugs into your
phone’s headsetjack. If this cable was notprovided with your
TTY device, contactyour TTY device manufacturer to purchase
the connector cable.
When establishing your SprintPCS Service, please call
SprintCustomer Service via the state Telecommunications
Relay Service (TRS) by firstdialing . Then
provide the state TRS with this number: 866-727-4889.
To turn TTYmode on or off:
1. Select > Settings > Others > TTY. (An informational
message is displayed.)
2. Press OK(leftsoftkey) to continue.
3. SelectEnable to turn TTY mode on.

SelectDisable to turn TTY mode off.
Note: In TTY mode, your phone will display the TTY access icon ( ).
Note:If TTY mode is enabled, the audio quality of non-TTY devices
connected to the headsetjack may be impaired.
