4.7.1Initialization Sequence Steps

The Auto-Negotiation mode can be turned on/off by setting or clearing the ANEG bit in the MAC Receive/PHY Control Register. Note that ANEG bit defaults low, the chip powers up with the

AutoNegotiation mode off.

The AutoNegotiation algorithm can be initiated by the following events:
