Connecting external aerials

Connect an external aerial to improve reception.

FM aerial

Connect an commercially available FM external aerial, or you can use a TV aerial instead.

Jack type A

IEC standard socket connector (not supplied)

Jack type B

75-ohm coaxial cable (not supplied)

AM aerial

Connect a 6- to 15- meter insulated wire to the AM aerial terminal. Leave the supplied AM loop aerial connected.

Insulated wire (not supplied)

Important

If you connect an external aerial, connect a ground wire to the U terminal. To prevent a gas explosion, do not connect the ground wire to a gas pipe.
