To remove the disc

Press Z. Remove the disc after it is ejected from the system.

“OPEN” appears in the front panel display.

To turn on the system

Press ! on the subwoofer. The system enters standby mode and the ! (on/standby) indicator on the subwoofer lights up in red (the control unit’s control button indicator also lights up in red). Press 1 on the remote to turn on the system (the ! (on/standby) indicator on the subwoofer lights up in green, the control unit’s control button indicator goes off, and the front panel display lights up).

In standby mode, the system also turns on by pressing Z or pushing up the control button to 7 on the control unit, or by pressing H on the remote.

To turn off the system

Press 1 on the remote. The system enters standby mode and the ! (on/standby) indicator on the subwoofer lights up in red (the control unit’s control button indiactor also lights up in red). To turn off the system completely, press ! on the subwoofer. Do not press ! on the subwoofer to turn it off while the disc shutter is open. While playing a disc, do not turn off the system by pressing !. Doing so may cancel the menu settings. When you turn off the system, first press x (or push down the control button to x on the control unit) to stop playback and then press 1 on the remote.

Saving the power in standby mode

Press 1 on the remote once.

zWhile the system is in standby mode, the ! (on/ standby) indicator on the subwoofer lights up in red (the control unit’s control button indiactor also lights up in red).

To cancel standby mode

Press 1 on the remote once.

Using the control button

You can also operate the system by pushing up/down/right/left or press the control button on the control unit.

*When you push up the control button, the function automatically changes to DVD mode. Each time you push up the button, the function alternates between play and pause mode.

You cannot use the SELECT function during the playback of a VIDEO CD with PBC functions by pushing up the control button (page 41).
