Recording a pictureToenablesmoothtransition

Youcanmakethetransitionbetweenthelastsceneyourecordedandthenextscene smoothaslongasyoudonotejectthecassetteevenifyouturnoffyourcamcorder. When you change the battery pack, set the POWER switch to OFF (CHARGE).

Ifyouleaveyourcamcorderinthestandbymodefor3minutes

Yourcamcorderautomaticallyturnsoff.Thisistosavebatterypowerandtoprevent batteryandtapewear.Toresumethestandbymode,setthePOWERswitchtoOFF (CHARGE) once, then turn it to CAMERA again.

WhenyourecordintheSPandLPmodesononetapeoryourecordsomescenes intheLPmode

Theplaybackpicturemaybedistortedorthetimecodemaynotbewrittenproperly betweenscenes.

Recordingdateandtime

Therecordingdateandtimearenotdisplayedwhilerecording.However,theyare recordedautomaticallyontothetape.Todisplaytherecordingdateandtime,press DATA CODE on the Remote Commander during playback.

Adjusting the LCD screen

TheLCDpanelmovesabout90degreestotheviewfindersideandabout180degreesto thelensside.

IfyouturntheLCDpaneloversothatitfacestheotherway,the indicatorappears onthescreen( Mirror mode).

When closing the LCD panel, set it vertically until it clicks, and swing it into the camcorderbody.

WhenusingtheLCDscreenexceptinthemirrormode,theviewfinderautomatically turnsoff.

WhenyouusetheLCDscreenoutdoorsindirectsunlight

TheLCDscreenmaybedifficulttosee.Ifthishappens,werecommendthatyouusethe viewfinder.

Pictureinthemirrormode

ThepictureontheLCDscreenisamirror-image.However,thepicturewillbenormal whenrecorded.

Duringrecordinginthemirrormode

YoucannotoperatetheZEROSETMEMORYontheRemoteCommander.

Indicatorsinthemirrormode

The STBY indicator appears as Xzand REC as z.Some of other indicators appear mirror-reversedandothersarenotdisplayed.
