The time code is a signal recorded on tape to indicate position. It is in the form of “hours: minutes: seconds: frames” so that a position can be easily found. This unit automatically records the time code during recording. Press DISPLAY to check the time code on the TV.

The time codes are sequentially written through the tape beginning from 0:00:00:00 at the head of the tape. If the tape contains blank portions, the time code restarts from 0:00:00:00. You cannot rewrite the time code later.
