Settings to adjust your camcorder to the recording conditions (EXPOSURE/IRIS/ STEADYSHOT/BACK LIGHT, etc.)

The default settings are marked with B. The indicators in parentheses appear when the items are selected.

See page 64 for details on selecting menu items.

Press the MENU button t select the (CAMERA SET) by turning the SEL/ PUSH EXEC dial.

EXPOSURE/IRISxDIAL ASSIGN

You can select assign settings with the EXPOSURE/IRIS dial from [EXPOSURE1] (the default settings), [EXPOSURE2], [IRIS] and [AE SHIFT](p. 39).

bNote

If you change the settings assigned to the EXPOSURE/IRIS dial, existing manual values are changed back to automatic values.

xDIAL SENS

You can select the EXPOSURE/IRIS dial sensitivity from [HIGH], [MIDDLE] (the default settings) or [LOW].

xDIAL ROTATEYou can select the rotation direction of the EXPOSURE/IRIS dial.BNORMALYou can change the screen brightness by turning the dial up.OPPOSITEYou can change the screen brightness by turning the dial down.
SMTH SLW REC (Smooth slow recording)

Fast moving subjects and actions, which cannot be captured under the general recording conditions, can be recorded in smooth moving slow-motion.

This is useful for recording fast actions such as a golf or tennis swing.1Set [REC TIME].

Select the recording time from [3sec] (the default setting), [6sec] and [12sec].

The picture quality deteriorates as the recording time increases.2Set [REC TIMING].

Select the recording timing from [START TRIGGR] and [END TRIGGER] to record the action after or before the REC START/ STOP button is pressed.

Select [EXECUTE], then press the REC START/STOP button on the [SMTH SLW REC] screen.

A slow-motion movie about 4 times longer than your [REC TIME] setting is recorded. Recording ends when [Recording...] disappears from the screen.

To cancel [SMTH SLW REC], press the MENU button
