When you do not connect center, rear speakers or sub woofer, or move the rear speakers, set the parameters for CENTER, REAR and SUBWOOFER. Since the front speaker setting is fixed, you cannot change them.

YES: Normally select this.

NONE: Select this when a center speaker is not used.

REAR

BEHIND (LOW), BEHIND (HIGH), MIDDLE (LOW), MIDDLE (HIGH), SIDE (LOW), SIDE (HIGH): Specify the position and height to implement the Digital Cinema Surround modes in the “Virtual Multi Dimension” sound field (page 49) properly.

NONE: Select this when rear speakers are not used.

SUBWOOFER

YES: Select this when a subwoofer is used.

NONE: Select this when a subwoofer is not used.

Notes

When you select an item, the sound cuts off for a moment.

Depending on the settings of other speakers, the subwoofer may output excessive sound.

Specifying the rear speaker position and height

If you select anything other than “NONE” in

“REAR”, specify the position and height of the rear speakers.

Rear speaker position

SIDE: Select this if the location of your rear speakers corresponds to section A.

MIDDLE: Select this if the location of your rear speakers corresponds to section B.

BEHIND: Select this if the location of your rear speakers corresponds to section C.
