Properties] dialog box, click the [Device Manager] tab. (If

 

using Windows 2000, click the [Hardware] tab, and then

 

the [Device Manager] button to display the [Device

 

Manager] window.) To enable CD audio from the computer

 

speakers, double-click [CD-ROM], double-click the drive,

 

click the [Properties] tab, and select the “Enable digital CD

 

audio for this CD-ROM device” check box.

 

• If using Windows 98 SE, on the [Start] menu, point to

 

[Settings], then click [Control Panel]. In [Control Panel],

 

double-click [Multimedia]. In the [Multimedia Properties]

 

dialog box, click the [CD Music] tab. To enable CD audio

 

from the computer speakers, select the “Enable digital

 

CD audio for this CD-ROM device” check box.

 

• If using a Macintosh computer, music CDs cannot be

 

played through the computer speakers. We recommend

 

that you use the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive of your

 

Macintosh computer to play music CDs.

 

• Some computers cannot play music from an external

 

drive through their speakers.
