Folder organization and playback order

Under normal playback conditions, the contents of folders are played back in the folder organization order, high-level folders first. Similarly, the files in folders are played back in alphabetical order.

For example, with the following folder organization, playback is performed from 1 to 10.

Notes

If you insert a disc and a “Memory Stick” into the drive at the same time, the contents of the disc are played back first.

In the case of music CDs, the disc is recognized as one folder and the tracks as files.

Folders that do not contain music files are skipped.

The drive can display file and folder names of up to 64 alphanumeric characters (Joliet extension).

To be able to listen to the files in a folder in the desired order, we suggest that you perform the following:

-There should be no more than 256 files per folder.

-Only use the alphanumeric characters (uppercase or lowercase) in folder and file names.

-Name the files so that the desired playback order is reflected by the first 8 characters (or less). Example: Track01VaporTrails.mp3
