To connect a projector
You can use a projector as an external display, such as the Sony LCD
Projector.
1Use the symbol to locate the Monitor connector. Plug the RGB
signal cable into this connector.
2Use the i symbol to locate the Headphone connector. Plug the audio
cable into this connector.
To select a display
When you connect an external display to the monitor connector, you can
press Fn+F7 to toggle the output between the Liquid Crystal Display
(LCD), the external monitor, or both devices. See “Selecting the Display
Mode” in the online document Customizing Your VAIO® Z505 SuperSlim
Pro™ Notebook for more information.

The optional display adapter PCGA-CD5 allows you to connect a display directly to the port
replicator connector (see page58) eliminating the need for the port replicator.
