Removing a memory module

If you are not familiar with upgrading memory on a computer, we highly recommend that you contact your dealer.

To remove a memory module, proceed as follows:

1Shut down your computer and disconnect all peripheral devices.

2Unplug the computer from the mains.

3Wait until the computer cools down.

The inside of the main unit becomes very hot during operation. Wait for about one hour for the computer to cool down before opening the unit.

4Before you remove the memory module, touch a metal part of the computer to discharge any electricity accumulated on your body.

5Position the main unit so the back panel is facing you. Use a screwdriver to take out the screw under the roof of the unit, just above the AC input connector (A).

6Pull out the inner unit from its protective cabinet by holding the t-lever and pulling it slowly and firmly

(B). You do not need to remove the unit entirely to access the memory module.

7Place the unit on its left side.

8Locate the memory module.
