Setting the Security Code

(SAT-A4 Only)
If the Digital Satellite Receiver is accepting or receiving signals from
another RF remote control in your home (or from a neighbor’s house),
you can eliminate this problem by changing the security codes for the
Digital Satellite Receiver and remote control.
Note
As an alternative, you can eliminate this problem by disabling the RF
capability of the Digital Satellite Receiver, if you have no need for RF
transmission. See “Selecting IR/RF Transmission (SAT-A4 Only)” on page 71
for details.
There are two steps to changing the RF security code: Step 1 is
changing the Digital Satellite Receiver’s security code; step 2 is
changing the remote control’s security code. Both the Digital Satellite
Receiver and the remote control must use the same three-digit security
code.

Step 1: Select the Digital Satellite Receiver’s RF Security Code

1Select REMOTE CONTROL from the Setup Menu.
2Select RF SECURITY CODE and then select a different security
code.
3Select OK to save your changes and return to the Setup Menu.
4Go to “Step 2: Set the Remote Control’s RF Security Code” on page
73 to continue.
