Connecting digital components

Connect the digital output jacks of your DVD player (etc.) to this system’s digital input jacks to bring the multichannel surround sound of a movie theater into your home. This receiver allows you to use a speaker system with up to 6.1 channels. To fully enjoy multichannel surround sound, five speakers (two front speakers, two surround speakers, and a center speaker) and a subwoofer are required.

You can enjoy high fidelity reproduction of DVD software recorded in the Dolby Digital EX or DTS- ES format if you connect one additional surround back speaker (for a total of 6.1 channels).

For details on the required cords ((a) to (f)), see page 4.
