Disposal of the used lampAs the used lamp contains Mercury, dispose of the lamp according to local, state or federal laws.
As the materials used in this lamp are similar to those of a fluorescent lamp, you should dispose of a used projector lamp in the same way as a fluorescent lamp.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Air FilterWhen replacing the lamp, also clean the filter to ensure optimal performance. When it becomes difficult to remove the dust from the filter, replace the filter with a new one.
To clean the air filter, follow the steps below:

2 Raise the side of the projector, and pull out the air filter.
3 Remove the dust from the filter with a vacuum cleaner.
4 Insert the air filter all the way in utnil it is securely in place.
Notes
•If you neglect the air filter, dust may accumulate, clogging it. As a result, the temperature may rise inside the unit, leading to a possible malfunction or fire.
•Be sure to insert the air filter firmly; the power will not be turned on if it is not closed securely.
