Tip

When you will not record a CD on the MD, you need not make a connection shown in step 3.

Note on listening to the radio

If you connect a portable MD recorder to this player with the supplied MD connecting cord, radio reception might be adversely affected.

If radio reception is poor, disconnect the MD connecting cord from the MD recorder. Note that power will no longer be supplied to the MD recorder. Use the AC power adaptor supplied with the MD recorder or batteries.

1 Connect the supplied MD connecting cord to the DC IN 6 V jack and the 2/REMOTE jack of the portable MD recorder, and the DC OUT (6 V 800 mA MAX) jack and the MD CONTROL jack of the player.

The power will be supplied to the portable MD recorder from the player.

2 Maximize the volume of the portable MD recorder and cancel its DIGITAL MEGA BASS function.

3 Connect the optional digital connecting cord to the LINE IN (OPTICAL) jack and the OPTICAL DIGITAL OUT (CD) jack.

Listening to an MD

You can operate the portable MD recorder using the buttons on the main unit and the remote of this player.

1 Press MD (LINE) so that this player can operate the MD recorder connected.

2 Press (on the player.
