Pitch
The pitch of a monospaced font is the number of charac- ters printed per inch.
Weight
Font weight is the thickness of the lines which make up the font’s characters. The standard weight is known as medium. Bold fonts, with thicker lines, are commonly used. Bold text is often used for emphasis or for head- ings. Light stroke weight fonts have lines that are nar- rower than the standard weight. Some examples of different stroke weights are shown below.
