6. CUSTOMIZING SUUNTO M3

You can customize the Suunto M3 settings to fit your personal preferences.

6.1. CHANGING GENERAL SETTINGS

1.Press ENTER in the Time display and select General from the menu.

2.Select the setting you want to change:

Tones: sets the key tones on/off

Light: adjusts the backlight. There are three different settings:

Normal: the light switches on for 7 seconds with a long press of the CHRONO button or when an alarm is activated

Off: the light does not switch on at all

Night use: the light switches on for 7 seconds when you press any of the buttons

Units: changes the way time and date are shown.

Contrast: adjusts the display contrast.

6.2. CHANGING TIMER SETTINGS

1.Press ENTER in the Timer display and select Settings from the menu.

2.Select the setting you want to change and press ENTER

Repeat: the timer countdown is restarted if the setting is On.

Tones: With TONE SEQ you can define when a sound signal is given during count- down, for example, with every full ten minutes or with every 10 seconds. With My tone you can define a custom time for a signal.

Note that the tone selections are independent from each other.

Sync: The default setting is Down: when the DOWN button is pressed, the timer is set downwards to the next full minute. When set to Round, the timer is set to the closest full minute.
