tion operations.
1 9-1. Monitor Functions
This paragraph explains the following monitor functions :
. All Input
l Insert
l Auto Input
l Shuttle
Relationship between those functions and the transport
modes is shown in table below.
This function causa the outputs to be switched between
tape and input depending on tm”sport modes, as shown in
the table below.
(1) All Input Monitor To switch the function on :
ALL INPUT is used to switch the eight outputs to be fed
directly by the corresponding inputs.
To switch on the function :
1 Press ALL INPUT a”d the associated LED will light
solidly to show the ““it is in Auto Input mode.

f Press INSERT and the associated LED will light
solidly to indicate that the unit is i” Insert monitor
mode.
NOTES
/f the DA-38 is root remote oontro/k?d, the hVSERT
key switches on or off not only the insert monitor
function but a/so the next auto input monitor function.
l When the /NSERT LED is /it ;
Both the ins& and the auto input monitor modes
are activated.
l When the /N.S’ERT LED is turned off:
50th the irweri and the auto input monitor func-
tions are disabled.
/f you are using the optional RC-848 remote control
unit, you can switch the insert and the auto input
monitor functions on/off separately.
